olpal,
Have you been making all yer good tunes in the 16bit all this time?

Yes I have...and it seems perfectly adequate (I am such a lazy ass).  But I'm seeing if there is better than "adequate" to be had for my album project:-)

It made me realize that the actual hard to understand stuff is never going to be understood by enough customers for Cakewalk to care what anyone thinks about how (or if) it works (or doesn't work). That really sunk in.

or, even the easy stuff.

As to whether my question got answered, I'd have to say yes...and pretty quickly.  Once I tried what couple folks suggested I got everything set right and showing up properly.  What I still don't know is why it shows up on the control bar but still shows up wrong (and can't be changed) in the audio dialog and why (and what the difference is) I had to go the "file" dialog to set it instead of the (greyed out) audio dialog.

So pal, what you got it  finally set to , so I can try the same thing tonite ???

48/24

Then I must share this with you The Pro 24 DSP is hooked up with the Liquid 56 slaved to it. I am running 48/24 and so far no crashes and I love the VRM. The one in the Pro 24 sounds WAY different than the stand alone box, I see maybe different models. I am noticing a mix that was way bass heavy on the VRM(edit light goes on,,, I forgot to disable ARC duh).

But my real joy is getting Maschine to play in stand alone without stutters and drop outs AND AND getting it to insert as a VST in sonar, although I still cant load a pattern and get it to play, but it does play sounds from a mid keyboard!  I am sitting here listening to a project loop in Maschine standalone that couldnt even make it through the first scene ,

A grumbly post by me on the NI forum got a sugary response to fixing it in Sonar and an "upstairs" response, guess which one I thanked?

One happy sonar/NI user... and Komplete 8 HD arrives Thursday

Good thing I was not upstairs when that which must not be named showed up....
