Something I wanna Know.

First off all, my name Riny from the Netherlands.

I restart with music after 20 years so everything is technical new for me.
In my early years I have work with a Tascam- recorder and analog materials.
This is an old cover I made with it.
Listen to it
Mixing and all the instruments are done and playing by my self.

Now I get a Sonar V-Studio 100 for making tracks of my one music (key's and guitar) but have a lot of question about it.
I hope that the forum members will help me out with it.

Here are some questions: (more follows)

- The Sonar CD contains version 1.0.3.23 software, are there newer versions or updates?
- Is there a guide (manual) in step by step how to use the software?

For those who want to help me, thanks for any reply.

P.s. Sorry if my English is not perfect, I'm a Dutchman.

    If you go here http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/product.aspx/V-Studio-100
you will see the new version of the software (1.0.4) and all drivers for the V-Studio 100.

I have one and love that it is easy to use.  There is also a knowledge page there to help you get started.

    Hope this helps

Hello Riny, welcome. I read somewhere that Cakewalk was offering Sonar X1-Studio (a software upgrade) to new buyers of the V-Studio 100. I tried to find the thread in one of the forums here, but could not. I hope i am right, it would be an outstanding deal for you. It's worth looking into. Maybe someone from our forum here can confirm this?

    Hello M@B and offnote,

Thanks for your reply and the link.

I have this day my first three tracks remixed (after 20 years) and all works well.
Further I want first try out the rest of the software, wich came with the V-Studio 100, before I make a new invest in newer and possibly better software.

When I know more about this software I'll place an sound-mix off my one music whit my one instruments.

    So, I'll be back.

    With best regards,
    Riny.

Hello Riny, There would be no "investment" necessary, that link is to a FREE UPGRADE offered to people who purchase the VStudio 100 from Sept.1st through Dec.31st 2011, although I did notice it is offered only if purchased from a dealer in the USA. Hopefully you did, but I would assume not.
