That is a nice live recording and mix.   And the overdubs work great with the song and add a little something special.

It "sounds" like you have a pretty decent room.   No need for de-reverb plugins.

If no one agrees with me, please feel free to ignore my advice. However, please note, I listen "critically" and speak "freely..." Doesn't mean I'm right? But I try to speak my mind most of the time. People like you are typically right up there, and your mixes are typically not in need of anything other than "good job." I'm trying to get there...

Agree with Robbie, that click can be a bit distracting at times. Great song though, with a great feel. Reminds me of Dire Straits.

Very nice indeed and nicely put together (arrangement).  Ya, maybe the click could be reduced a bit but you did an excellent job on the mix and the playing and vox is very nice indeed.

    Very nice recording.

The instruments are nicely spaced out (in terms of not crowding each other).

I'd agree about slightly reducing the prominence of the rim-shot sound.

I like the subtle organ sound in the background.

The bluesy guitar sound/playing is lovely.

That's a nice crisp recording Daryl. Long time since I heard a phaser on a guitar, works well on this. More Chris Rea than Dire Straits to me, but good whichever.

Overall nice tune well captured and this mix for me, other than the prominent snare, is Radio ready.  I would say however for the album mix I would spread things just a tad unless my furry ears have totally lost it it is just a little to centric.  That is of course just a furry eared aliens perspective.

Thanks for sharing and pass on my compliments for the bands playing and composition skills.

Beautiful job all around.  The "click" someone referred to is of course the sidestick LOL.
The balance between instruments is really good.  I am listening on ATH M50's.  The bass is really tight and clear.
I like the song and vocal.

Thanks Jimmy - it takes a drummer to spot the sidestick/rim :). There are 1 or 2 full snare hits but most of the song is played on the rim. I appreciate your kind words mate

Good song, smooth singing, well recorded. This shows what real musicians playing real instruments can accomplish. It's a lot, and I really like it. I didn't notice a problem with the sidestick/hi hat the first time through. Now after reading all about it, it does seem a little loud, but it's not a killer. I'm glad there are bands like this out there.

This is nice. I feel like it's something I've heard or similar. It's hard to tell. Maybe the guitar strums, at the beginning, could come up just a bit. Very nice vocals!
