I love this!  I used to play in a jazz band that did standards like this when I was in high school, so this takes me back a ways.  I may still have my old "fake" book somewhere.

Thanks Lynn, I do enjoy playing some of the old jazz standards. There is a great camaraderie amongst the musicians and a willingness to pass on ideas. Just like I am finding this forum.

Thank you Walt, Wookiee and Clint.
This style of music is only one of many that Jenny and I (aka Rebel & the Cat) enjoy and perform. There is more contemporary music we have in our repertoire but I do not wish to infringe any copyright, or break any posting rules, by posting such covers here. I think this number is not going to offend any copyright owners here. There is quite a bit of original material that Jenny writes and I hope I can post some of this as it becomes available.

Sounds good , not really my cup o tea but nicely done, There`s a big click at .038 that needs removing.

Thanks for listening Alan and Robbie, yes there is a click at .38? It's not on the recording, could have happened during the upload to SoundCloud I guess. Thanks for pointing that out I'll try uploading again.

Very nicely done. I grew up with lots of these old standards. Nice instrumentation and vocals are right on the money. Nice mix as well.

Excellent piece -- The vocal, instrumentation, and mix were great.  My favourite cover of this song was done by Billy Williams but this one is giving it a close chase.  Really nice stuff!!!

Wow, thanks Freddy, appreciate that a lot.
Thanks Darren, it took 4 goes to get the mix right. Thought we had it, then we'd listen and find something that wasn't quite right. We were really happy in the end.
    Thanks for the listen Wayne.

Thanks James, the trumpet player said he had the feeling of strolling down the Champs Elysees, playing his horn, so that was the feel we all aimed for. Hope there is a passing French reference in the piano playing somewhere.
