    So..................?
The mix, the song, the ..............??
I think the mix needs a little work yet, as to me the cymbals not loud enough sometimes, and the bass too loud and the voice a little loud. Well, just needs a variation of the mix but the song sound fine with all the parts in it including the flute.
Not familiar with the same at all, so that's about it from my point of view, and remember I may be in "space" or lost in it.

Excellent work on one of my old favorites, boys!!!

Monster "Tull" guitars, James, and super job on the solos, my friend!  Rich was fantastic on the flute, although I think the flute could come up just a little bit in the mix volume-wise, and Ed did a dynamite job on the punchy bass, drums, keys and vocals!

Great job all the way around, guys!

Overall it ain't half bad  but I think a little remix with fresh ears would not go a miss Ed.

This is of course my subjective perspective.
It all sounds a bit down the middle which causes a little cloudiness, the flute is nice but misses that breathy quality from Mr Tull.  The guitars are cool and the bass tone is nice.  Ed even manages to sound a little Tullish on the vox.  Perhaps a little slap on the kick might be nice, the bottom thud is there but I can not quite hear the slap. That could however be because it all sounds a bit down the middle.

Thanks for sharing guys keep up the good work.

This is a darn good version of a song that's not easy to play.  Yes, turn the flute up, as it was one of the loudest instruments in the original version.  Maybe, even add some tube distortion to the flute to make it more authentic.  All in all, super effort, guys!

I still have a few Tull albums, you know, on vinyl.

Nicely done.  I agree with some of the mix comments above - bring the flute up (it is Tull after all) and the vocals might be a little loud, but overall I enjoyed it.

I know that Living in the Past is in 5/4 time, this song feels like it has a different time signature as well, but it may just be the unconventional beat. Very ambitious undertaking, well done Ed. What was that flute VST? I can recommend a few that you might like better.

What about the "Well done" part? Why focus on that other part? Take a compliment man! So if you're on the red carpet and I tell you your gown is beautiful, but make a less complimentary comment about your shoes, it's all bad? Your cleavage is legendary btw (from what I hear) But that's not a slam at your hips? Accept the fact that you have a great rack.
