Somewhat new stuff for Prog lovers!

From last year.  A new band comprised of four well known artists:  Kiama
Who's in the band?  Robert Reed (Magenta & Kompendium), Andy Edwards (IQ, Robert Plant & Frost), Luke Machin (Maschine & Tangent) and Dylan Thompson (Shadow Of The Sun & Reasoning).

Their first album is called "Sign Of Four" (which, unfortunately, is not all up on YouBoob yet).  I've yet to see a review with less than a full five stars.  I know I'm sure glad I got it!  Here are a few tracks.

I saw them at the Panic Room weekend in Bilston last year. And they were very good, bought the CD from the Merch desk.

Shadow of the Sun also appeared and were very enjoyable.

I think that list is what motivated me to get them.  I'm FINALLY getting around to doing a little more importing!  I still have months to go though...

Good find, these videos, I see thay are linked from the bands very basic website http://tmr-web.co.uk/kiama/Blank.html I suspect the album was a one off project which would be a shame. After this thread i pulled it out and played it this morning and it's a fine album.

I saw Rob Reed and Christina Booth doing acoustic support for Mostly Autumn last year and did not realise at the time the Kiama link.

It’s interesting how incestuous this British prog movement is, lots of common band members and the line-up changes are like musical chairs.

Here is Shadow of the Sun

Dylan Thompson swapping his Kiama lead vocal for lead guitar in this outfit.

For some reason that had a very Pearl Jam (good Pearl Jam) feel to it.  I don't have anything from them (*Gasp!*), so I may have to rectify that!  Payday is probably next Friday (a week from tomorrow)...
