I don't have waves but I have Antares Auto Tune, which uses the Ilock and it's working without problems on my Windows 7, 64 bit system.

I've got Waves GTR and the Tony Maserati and Chris Lord-Alge Signature suites on a Windows7 64 bit system running Sonar 8.5.3 64bit and they work fine BitBridged.  The only problem I ever have with my iLok stuff is the iLok site itself.  Sometimes it sees my iLoks and sometimes it doesn't.  Sometimes it will update them and sometimes not.  One time it coudln't see one of my iLoks and the site said to try at least three times to "relook" for it.  Which I did.  Then, after not seeing it 3 times...it shut it off and I was without those plugins...all ten of them...until someone at iLok turned them back on.  YMMV.

Yup.  But, if you're not familiar with the way the WAVES installer works it can be a bit confusing.  You don't just install each individual program(s) you bought.  You select them (or they are already selected for you) from the WAVES installer app which contains all their apps.  I'm sure WAVES has detailed download and install instructions on their site and I encourage you to print them out and follow them.  Which plug(s) are you thinking about?

I have the SSL collection. I'd feel like I'd lost my right arm if I didn't have use of them. I have the SSL on UAD also but mostly use the waves version, more out of habit, I owned them first, before UAD offered them. Now, it's more like balancing So many plugins using system resources, so many using UAD resources. I haven't run out of power yet on UADs, I hav a solo & a Quad. I also have UAD1 to throw in.
OK, ready to install Dim Pro... Crossing my fingers

Well, I'm having no joy. While I can see the titles of the Waves Plugins, that load with the name of the plugin with a (0) and when I try to insert into an FX bin an a channel, it opens a little box with a fader that can't be moved a file menu that looks like a preset saver. But the wonderful Plugins I know on my 32 bit system aren't here.

Wait, could this be because I haven't installed Sonar all the way up to 8.6.3? This installation is only at 8.0. I don't remember any trouble with 8.0 & Waves but I don't think I got 8 untill it was patched a couple of times so I wouldn't have lived through any.

What version of the waves SW are you using? The latest?  I have't updated for a while, so my i-Lok is authorizing the V 5.0 release. I'm wondering if I'd have to cough up $200 to get current before this would work, or if 5.0 would fly.

I'm running 6 AND i've got everything running fine now.
It would have been $200 for me if I didn't get em working for support to make it work, but I would have gone on to 7 at that point.

I don't have Wave plugs either, but Ilok is working with my EWQL plugs in WinXP Pro64.  I did download the Ilok 64 bit drivers.

I don't have waves but I have Antares Auto Tune, which uses the Ilock and it's working without problems on my Windows 7, 64 bit system.

    Antares Auto Tune

Hi Fireberd, do you have the Antares Auto Tune working in sonar 64bit or sonar 32bit? Because i can't even scan the Antares dlls from sonar 64 without bitbridge crashing.  - thanks

Hey good news. I got it working.

I think it was a problem with iLok not working properly and thus crashing during the BitBridge (and JBridge) operation.

This solution might solve the problem for any 32 bit plugin that uses iLok, not just the Antares Choir and Aspire plugins that I was trying to use..

I received a response from iLok suggesting I turn Data Execution Prevention off, and that solved the problem!

To disable Data Execution Prevention (DEP) for Vista or Windows7:

    - Open the system properties (from Control Panel, or Start->right-click on Computer->Properties)
    - Click the "Advanced System Settings" link in the left sidebar.
    - Select the Advanced Tab
    - In the "Performance" region select "Settings"
    - Click the "Data Execution Prevention" tab in the Performance Settings box
    - Select "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only"
    - Click "Apply"
    - Click "OK"
    - Reboot your system.

To change Data Execution Prevention (DEP) for Win XPsp2+:

    - Click "Start"
    - Select "Settings > Control Panel>System and Maintenance
    - Select "System"
    - Click the "Advanced" tab
    - In the "Performance" region select "Settings"
    - Click the "Data Execution Prevention" tab in the dialog box
    - Select "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only"
    - Click "OK"
    - Reboot your system.
