Sonar 101 Question--Delete Measures

Hello--

I'm sure this is really basic, but I can't find it in my help...

I have two measures at the begining of a projects that I want to delete, and delete the hole. (all tracks, right).

How do I do it?

Thanks,

Stephen

my computer down so I dont have sonar to see but I think you can go control+A to select all, then with your mouse left drag click timeline first two bars, it should highlight them , in the highlighted space right click , delete. Box should pop up asking you if you wanna delete whole I think you hit yes, should do it I dont remember I havent touched Sonar in a month, been working in Nuendo, plus my Sonar computer is diabled hope that helps, if not you can undo. Oh yea make sure only first two bar are highlighted, there are other ways but but I dont have Sonar up so I cant tell U.

    Hi:
I also haven´t Sonar opened now, but I believe the right click not show the Delete Hole" option. For this, you need to go at Edit/Cut and to select the Delete Hole option. Finally press OK. From memory, of course, so sorry if I´m in the wrong direction.
    Greetings.

Thanks for the quick reply, but somehow neither of these sound correct. Does anyone else know how to delete full measures?

Hold down Alt-Ctrl, select the first few measures with the mouse, select Cut, select Delete Hole.

Ya know, I should have told you I have SONAR 2.2 XL because the ctl-alt select doesn't work...

Since it's at the beginning of this project, I think I'll just delete it during mastering.

    Thanks anyway everyone.

Well--since no one here knew, or responded, I went to Cakewalk. Here is their answer, at least for Sonar 2.2 XL

    Stephen,
You will need to select the first two measures by choosing Edit | Select | All, and then Edit | Thru Now with the cursor at measure 3.
Then, choose Edit | Cut and choose Delete hole. If there are only rests in the two measures then you will need to select all of the material from the 3rd measure till the end of the song and then Cut and Paste it to move it back in the timeline.

    FYI--
