Sonar 4 LE vs. Sonar 8.5 LE

Hi!

I bought Sonar home edition and didn't like it at all.
So now I'm considering an upgrade from my old LE 4 to LE 8.5.
I think that my LE 4 is more like the producer editions than my home edition is.
How about the LE8.5 version. How does it look? Is it much like the LE 4?
I like how the mixing is done in LE 4... which is the thing that I dislike in Sonar home edition.

Can I sell my Sonar Home Editon if I upgrade to Sonar LE 8.5?

Thanx.

    Hi,

I have only just upgraded from LE 4 to LE 8.5 to become current as I bought an EMU board and it came bundles with the older LE 4.

The look and feel has been changes a little and the skin is different. Not as polished as the full blown versions but this is intentional to remind you you are on a cut down version I guess.

There are other feature differences as well as a new interface for the midi effects.

Really I cannot say much more becuase I am a noob with this S/W (for now) but for the £6.99 it cost me to upgrade , it was a no brainer and have not had any issues so far.

I just got Sonar 4 LE bundled along with my Edirol M-16DX mixer about six months ago.. then got the email from Sonar to upgrade for $9.99 ! ! The new look of 8.5 blows the original 4 out of the water ! My impression is that I just got launched from vintage to the present ! For $10, I am tremendously thankful ! ! The glass is definitely half-full ! ! :) Enjoy it ! !
