Sonar 5 PE vs. Sonar 3 PE

I am new to this world...I have Sonar 3 PE and have begun to record my first full lenght album for which I will use Sonar to mix.

Should I switch to 5 over 3? Why? I do not intend to mix in surround.

Also what are some of your favorite plugins that you've grown to love.

Thanks

There's no "one size fits all answer in my view" - it depends on what and how much you do and how often you do it. But I'll list a few benefits, you decide for yourself:

Track folders - especially useful for projects with many tracks
Track comping - makes retakes and overdubs so much easier to handle
Peak markers - makes it easier to avoid clipping
    Bus waveform preview - ditto

Yes there are many others, but I'd say that for me the upgrade is more than worth it for that alone. As for the others ... well, for example, it depends I think largely on whether or not you'll use those extra synths and plugins.

    Best,
