Sonar 5 installation hangs at 94%

Sonar 5 installation hangs at 94%

I have just upgraded from the basic version of Sonar 2 to Sonar 5 Producer Edition. The installation runs fine until the file copying reaches 94%, at which point it hangs and I have to switch off the machine. I spoke to somone else who had had the same problem who advised me to make a copy of the disk using Nero and install from that, as this had worked for him. Having made a copy and at each stage verified the copying to ensure there were no errors, it hung again on the same '.txt' file. Can anyone shed any light on this? Is there a new installation file I can download like there used to be to solve the old DirectX 9 problem In Sonar 2?

    Have you tried copying the contents of the DVD to your hard drive & installing it from there? Or tested the install using a different DVD drive/machine? You might have just gotten a bad disk.

    I thought there would be some sort of copy protection stoping you from running the instalation from a hard drive, but there isn't, and it worked!!!!!
