Sonar 6 Help

1. When I record a vocal track there is a lot of hiss in the background. Is there a way that I take the hiss out?

2. How do I put an echo effect on tracks?

3. Is there a way that I can lower the pitch and tempo at the same time?

to address problem 1.... sometimes you are using bad wires and that can create extra noise. also, if you are not in a quiet room, an over sensitive mic will pick up the sound of the AC, your PC running, or even a ceiling fan. It is understandable however to get some extra noise so if you have already made your recordings, you could try putting a gate on them. if you look on the left of all the track stuff, there is a grey area that says FX. it you look under sonitus, i believe there is a gate you can use. just adjust the it until you get what you want or possible even use defaults. good luck

You can use EQ to reduce the hiss, but you'll also filter out the high frequencies of your vocal track. A better way would be to find out where the hiss is coming from and get rid of it so you don't record it.

You shouldnt be getting hiss, so i wouldnt try fixing it in the mix, i would get to the sourse of the problem because this isnt nornal. What is your signal chain and what equipment do you have in it. List your whole recording chain, including the sound card

Insert a delay in the Fx bin.
