Sonar 7 and Massive (Native Instruments)

I suddenly have a problem in which Massive, as a plug-in in Sonar 7, will not change patches. The playlist is correct, the patch names show up in Sonar, but changing them will not change the patch in Massive. I've tried version 1.1.3 and version 1.2.1. I've also tried it as a DXi plug-in (version 1.1.3) and a VST plug-in (version 1.2.1).

I have other software synths that work fine, including FM8. I've checked all my Sonar settings, even the obscure VST ones in the plug-in manager, I've also done clean installs of Massive and updated my sound card drivers. I am having no other problems.

I've been using Massive successfully for many years. Luckily this issue is not on my main DAW, but on my office computer which I use to try out software and test before installing on my DAW.

Anyone encounter this and have a solution?

Thank you!

do you have the latest update of sonar for ver 7?  I don't remember what point releases they did for 7 - especially since I skipped version 7 anyway, and I don't know what the point releases did for version 7 - could be an issue.
