Sonar 7 and m-audio fast track problem....help please!

Hi

I'm having a problem using my m-audio fast track with sonar 7 producer edition. When I open the sonar 7 program to play back some of my previously recorded songs there pops up a message which says "unable to open audio, playback device may not support the current projects audio format or may be in use".

There is an update fix on the cakewalk support page but I'm not sure how to apply the fix. How do I access my sonar directory for instance. ? I admit I am not very computer literate so if anybody can help clarify things or if they know of an easier way to fix this problem I would be grateful for any help. Thank you

    That error message most often means that SONAR and the soundcard are set to different sample rate and or bit depth.

    What soundcard and drivers are you using? Do you happen to know what sample rate etc. was used when recording those projects that won't open?

    Unfortunately the projects get corrupt sometimes and are lost. I believe the consensus is that cwb-files are more vulnerable than cwp-files.

    SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
