Sonar 8 PE and FW-1082 issues - Controling Sonar from FW-1082

Hello friends!

I an issue I'm trying to overcome with my FW-1082.  Tascam finally got their act together and made it possible to use this with Vista 64 and my 8GB of RAM...so I'm happy about that.

The problem I'm having now is:

I can control my FW-1082 from Sonar, meaning if I raise/lower the volume on a track...the FW-1082 will respond and the volume controls will go up and down accordingly...but I cannot get the volume in the software to adjust when I do so on the hardware.  I have FW-1082 Control set on In Port and Out Port, which I read somewhere else that's what you're supposed to do...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks much!

What driver versions are you using?  For the Tascam driver, and the SONAR Control Surface driver?

Software: Cakewalk by Bandlab; Adobe Audition; Band-in-A-Box audiophile; Izotope Ozone; Encore; Melodyne; Win 10 Pro, 64-bit.

Hardware: Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 2nd; Roland Integra-7; TCE Finalizer; Presonus Central Station, Behringer X-Touch.  Home built i7 with 16 GB RAM, SSDs.

plus the control surface software isnt 64bit, the drivers for the audio is 64bit,but not the control surface part. now they have lead to the point that they will not support it any longer...

    Gigabyte GA-EP35-SL3
    Core 2 duo E8500
    4 GIGS OF RAM
    Tascam FW-1884
    Sonar 8.5pe
    Reason 4
    Roland XP-60

And they said i couldnt do it...

    Hi guys,

I've got the latest drivers from the Tascam website....but I forget where they're stored so I don't have the actual version numbers or anything.

I wasn't able to even use the FW-1082 with more than 2 GB of RAM last year, so I'm glad they made it so I can...hopefully if it's a driver issue, they're working on a fix.

I don't know why I'd be able to control my FW-1082 from the software if there was a 64-bit issue.

Any one else have FW-1082 working with Sonar 8 in 64-bit?

    Thank you!
