Hold down the CNTRL key on the keyboard while you're drawing.  they changed this in Sonar 7 I think.

I'm not sure why it won't work.  it works on mine.

unless I"m not understanding your problem.  I know you have limited English and I"m sure that's why you made the video, but can you try to explain more what it is you're trying to do and what isn't working?

You can do that by changing the PRV Tool Configuration. Go to Options>PRV Tool Configuration. Next to Tool, select PRV Tool 2 (Draw). Change the Tool Action: to Paint Velocities/Controllers Linear.

Now click and drag the mouse cursor through velocity/controller events and you can edit them just like in the video. You won't SEE the line the way you do with the Line Tool, but the result is the same. As long as you hold the mouse button down you can see how the velocities/controllers will look when you let go of the mouse button. Don't forget to change the setting back to the default when you are done unless you want to use this setting as your default tool action.

If this is something you will want to do again save the setting as a preset. After making the changes type a new name in the Preset name box and click the save button. I have this setting saved as Paint Linear. It isn't as quick as using the old Line Tool but it gets the job done.

In Sonar 8 it's either Hold Ctrl-Alt or Ctrl-Shift (not at my DAW at the moment) with the pencil tool select to draw controllers linearly
