Sonar 8.5 and SP3

Hi
I use Sonar 8 and many of my soft synth sounds are Giga for which I use GVI.  Since Tascam no longer supports GVI, it only runs on SP2.  I would like to buy 8.5, but that requirement seems to be SP3.
 
Any suggestions?

    One suggestion is don't hold your breath waiting for a definitive answer on this.

    It's been asked before and the thread had to be regularly cleared of tumbleweed.

    GigaStudio 3 runs fine on SP3 so I can't imagine there's a problem with GVI.

    You'll deffinately want to stay away from IE8 though.

    For whatever reason, GVI must have SP2 and when SP3 is installed, I get a message sayng that it must be SP2.  GVI specs also say that.
