Sonar 8.5 and audio interface issue...

Just wondering if somebody could help me out. I have Sonar 8.5 pro with a motu 2408mk1 interface...with the 424 pci card. As of late, I'm getting a pop up that says "no motu device found". I tried deleting the aud.ini file, like in the old days, but same problem. I updated drivers for the motu, and that's when the problem started. Any other way I can get sonar to rescan my audio devices? Here's the kicker...everything still works, lol. Sonar opens up and there is my 2408...so I guess it's really more of a nuisance than a problem. Thanks in advance

I'm running XPpro, sp3, 32 bit...if that helps?

Is the pop up when you start Sonar?
Double check that Sonar is using the ASIO drivers, sometimes mine has reverted to WDM/KS drivers on one of my old junker XP computers.

Yeah, it's weird...sonar will scan all my vst's, then ill get the pop up about the interface. And yes, the asio drivers are still being used.

You said you updated the drivers, by this do you mean you re-installed the XP 32 bit drivers? Just thinking if you downloaded the wrong drivers that might cause issue. Other wise, just slap it on the side and all will be good.

No a hammer would break something, The long standing correct method is ball of your hand and a few good cuss words

Well...fixed it. The problem was operator error. When I installed the updated motu drivers, I also installed drivers for a different interface as well...so Sonar couldn't find "that one"...doh!
