Sonar 8.5.2. and Battery 3 Glitch

Folks, I've updated Sonar as above and also updated Battery 3. I can now load Battery 3 into the synth rack no problems, but when I try to load any kits into Battery 3 I get the message that the patch was created in a previous version of KONTAKT (yes, Kontakt) and won't load.

I actually don't own or have Kontakt. I tried the freebie Kontakt player, but it interfered with some Adobe software so I uninstalled it.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Bag.

I use (and love) Battery 3.   I'm thinking that maybe you're trying to load a kit that is , in fact, a non-Battery3 kit?
Either that, or you need to refresh you database (in the options).

That fact you mention Kontakt, suggests to me you're pointing to - or trying to load - the wrong format.

All your battery library stuff should be in a single folder and in options you can set the path to it. I'd try that first and use one of the stock kits like rock or pop to see if it's working.

Thanks guys, no it's definitely a kt3 file, but with the re-install it's possible the library file path isn't the same as where I'm actually trying to load the kit from, so that's maybe a problem. The interesting development is that loading older projects (Sonar 8) with the kit included is working! That's become a work-around.

Now to fix my latest latency problem... ( I may post on this, if a few experiemnts don't work)

I'm getting the same thing.  I can load some kits, but I get the same message for others that work fine in my old DAW (Logic 5.1.1).  Did you ever find a fix for this?
