Sonar 8.5.3 on Windows 8 Pro, Presonus Firestudio Project, Cannot Hear Panning!

I just loaded my PC with Windows 8 from Windows 7 SP1, and re-installed Sonar 8.5.3 and the Presonus 1.7 Universal Driver for my Firestudio Project.  My setup is in my signature below.  I've been using the FS Project for a few years, so I'm familiar with the mixer settings, and how to "link" DAW1 and DAW2 together to create the stereo monitoring.  The weird thing is that this is the first time I am not HEARING the stereo panning, HOWEVER, I can see the panning happening from the meters - if I pan all the way Right, it shows normally as activity in my right meter, and same if I pan all the way left.  It looks good...it just doesn't SOUND good.  I can hear slight differences in the timbre of my instruments, but it still sounds like it's smack dab in the center, no matter where I pan.  When I export my mixes to audio, and play the music through another computer, the panning sounds correct, just not from my main Sonar machine.  Very frustrating.  I put in a support call to Presonus, hopefully will get some answers soon.  Would any of you, who have used Presonus products before, have any more insight?  Thanks!

DAW1 & DAW2 are linked, okay. Good. Just to cover all bases, though, are they hard-panned in Universal Control, as well? They should be set up like this: DAW1-L50 // DAW2-50R
