Sonar + Amplitube + Boss GT-8

I hope one of you Amplitube and Sonar Gurus can help me.

I am using my BOSS GT-8 to control Amplitube through midi so I can use the Pedal to operate the Wah in Amplitube. When I do this using Amplitube in Stand Alone mode it works great. When I try doing it using Amplitube within Saonar it does not work. I can see the midi assignment in amplitube but it does not work. What am I doing wrong? I am using Amplitube x-gear and Sonar 8.

Thanks!!!!

To get amplitube or guitar rig or any other fx to run midi in sonar you need to configure them as a soft synth. That means opening the effects menu with a right click Audio FX < Plug In Layouts < Manage Layouts. When you get here find the effects program your using and click on it. Go to the bottom where it says VST Configuration and click Plug In Properties and configure it as a soft synth. The effects will now be located in the soft synths section of the audio track. The same place as before but not in the Audio Fx area, create a midi channel and have the output sent to the program your using and the input as whatever midi device your using and your set. Enjoy!
