Sonar Audio Engine

Why would I need to turn the audio engine off and on? What's the deal with the audio engine?

The audio engine works fine for the most part and it is very high quality sound.  Most people don't like that it is not a gapless engine which means that it is prone to drop-outs and glitches if you operate most functions during playback.

Sometimes turning off the engine can correct a stuck note and various other issues.
