Sonar Faders Make Noise When Using SPDIF and Analog outs?

Update: It makes the same noise with analog outs too. Live and Maschine do not make this noise. I have tried shutting off inputs in Sonar X1 but it still makes the noise when I move the fader.

I'm having a strange problem. When I use spdif out to my m-audio dsm2's spdif in, from my RME Fireface UC, I get a crackly noice when I move a fader on the console while making a sound. I noticed it while fading in a pad. It will make the noise no matter which fader I use. I tried it in Live 8.26 and Maschine 1.7. All using the same VSTs. FM8, Z3ta+ v1, Omnisphere.

It only makes this noise in Sonar. I even replaced the spdif cables before I realized it was only making the noise in Sonar X1c Expanded.

I have the RME setup as the Master, I'm using no digital inputs that I would need to sync to. I have both Sonar and RMe set at 48khz, 512BM buffer.

The sound is great until I move a fader, then I get a crackle. It doesn't do this when using analog out either.

Anyone else experience this? Any ideas?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks! Riley
