Sonar Forum Scroll to top?

Good day,

Just a small issue, Ive noticed recently in Google Chrome the icon on right to automatically scroll to the top of a thread no longer does so, and doesn't exist in Win Explorer (although not sure if it did before), Just wondering if its a Forum page issue/change, Google Chrome issue or some Windows (7) pointer setting I inadvertently changed, albeit seems same on my Win10 laptop?

Anyone else having this happen?

Cheers

John Egan

I think that something else is broken too, forum-wise...

normally, when you click on the green link which tells you when the last post was made, it normally takes you to the last post. When you hover over that link the "Go to last post" tool tip pops up but when you click on the link it takes you to the original post.

The scroll-to-top function works for me in Firefox, but not in Chrome. For a little while it looked as if the browser wars were over and they all implemented things the same way (except anything made by Apple, of course). But apparently we're starting back to the Bad Old Days.

Seems only broken in Chrome. Chrome must have updated a week or so ago and broke it. I guess someone should tell them so they can fix it.

    Good Day,
In Internet Explorer, for me anyway the icon to scroll to top is now not there at all, in Chrome its still there but doesn't work. Also the other issues as others posted, email links only go to top of thread, not to latest posts, etc.

Where or who to tell, I will do so, I was thinking this forum was the place ?

    Cheers

My understanding is that nobody at Cakewalk has any ability to modify the forum software. That's why, for example, the "search" function hasn't worked for years.

Also, in Chrome when you press "Quote" to reply to a post, it would take you to the bottom of the thread with the message in quotes. Not it just adds the message to the reply box, but doesn't take you down the, so y0u press again, and again, and.......

As already mentioned I'd also use the Home or Page Up keys.
The page in general is using old code.
I don't want to spam a link here, but if you fancy trying a different browser for general use, then Google `Web Browsers for Windows Grant' to find a few more to try, if you feel so inclined.
I personally use Edge, but test with Chrome, Opera, FF and IE, too.

we are creatures of habit bro.
I use IE 11 on Windows 8.1 and even though its outdated, I'm familiar with it.
Ironically enough, the scroll to top button works fine here on IE 11.

Pretty sure it's off-the-shelf third party software. The user (Cakewalk) doesn't break it or fix it.
