I was just messing around with the browser tonight, which I hardly ever do, and I felt lost as hell. Perfect timing! Thanks Cake! (and Larry) Downloading now, in 1080P no less! Awesome...

All those track templates and preset...wow! I did not know you could preview multiple clips simultaneously from the browser by ctrl-clicking them!

I will try this tonight (and watch the YouTube clip, which is unfortunately blocked on my work PC). I take it that the multiple clips all playback at project tempo and in sync (assuming the play at project tempo option has been selected)?

How did he do that trick where he lassoed a MIDI clip and dragged it to the right so it would repeat itself as many times as you like? I tried it with a MIDI clip (with different key strokes too) and all it did was lengthen the clip???

Good to be able to preview multiple loops in sync at the same time, but it only seems to work if they are in the same folder. As soon as a different folder is selected the previous selections are reset. One workaround is to drag the multiple selections over to the matrix, and then set those loops playing and then browse to a new folder to audition in sync with the previous selecitons.

I really like the pacing of this video. It presented info quickly and really packed in the useful info while including a bare minimum of sales-speak. This video seems helpful to people interested at various levels of detail. Nice job Seth!!! edit spelling

I tried it with a MIDI clip (with different key strokes too) and all it did was lengthen the clip??? You have to make a clip a groove-clip first. Some of the midi clips that come with SONAR are already groove-clips. Rightclick a clip and select Groove-clip Looping, to make it a groove-clip, then you can grab the clip at the end drag it to repeat the groove over and over to the point where you stop the drag.

Cool, I never noticed that feature. Was it there prior to X1's release?

Hmm I really do hope that the bakers adjust the browser so we can actually see the image of the icons files rather than just the filename. Great vid

Was it there prior to X1's release? Yes, groove clips have been around a long time.
