Sonar HS7: Recording Levels Low after switching to ASIO

I was recording fine using MME drivers, but switched to ASIO to get low latency (which it did).  However, despite all my volume levels looking good, the actual recording volume is really low in comparision to what I just had.  Line-In volume levels & such are the same solid values as prior to switching to ASIO.  What setting should should I look at?

Thanks!

Recording levels are set by the audio interface you are using. What device are you using? The built in integrated sound? Soundcard? External Audio Interface?

I'm using a SB X-Fi card.  I discovered the problem & solution, although it was rather goofy.  Despite the Recording Level of the Line-In properties in Windows 7 showing "100", it wasn't reflecting reality.  I moved the slider around, saved it at the exact same value of "100" & magically I was getting solid Line-In levels.  ???

Sounds like a bug in Windows, where the user value isn't getting updated.  100 should mean 100; not some random value based on a dice-roll.  At least it works now, but it took a small miracle to discover the solution.
