Sonar Help - Samplig rate

I have a project recorded in 44.1kHz in Sonar X1. Now I want to run this project in 88.2kHz in Sonar X1. Is there any possibility to run it in that way?

You can only change the sample rate of a project if it has no audio in it, so changing the rate requires deleting all the audio and re-importing it after changing the project rate. Here's a recent thread on this:

Brundlefly (or anyone else who might know)

I'm curious as to whehter other daw's are "locked into" a sample rate like this or is this just a Sonar specific thing.   Are there other daw's that have the ability to switch the sample rate w/in the project w/o all the export/import procedures?

I can't think why a DAW couldn't have this capability built-in, but I don't know whether any do.

My thinking is that if you need to change rates for compatibility with another environment that you're trading files with, or because you have a fledgling project that will have a lot more audio added to it at the new higher rate, it might be worth it.

But for projects that are mostly or completely finished and maybe just being remixed, there's not much benefit to be gained from resampling audio recorded at a lower rate, and I personally wouldn't bother.
