Sonar + Kontakt - Tips from a simpleton

just some reminders for those of us technically challenged.
New Sonar project (no tracks)
trk1 = default settings: Insert Simple Instrument track
trk1 = default settings: Insert Simple Instrument track
Kontakt 4
 K4 ch1 = chocolate lover
K4 ch2 = panda massacre
 
After setting up the correct midi channels in Kontakt,
In Sonar, just stay selected on track 1, and use the A-300 pro Value Dial to change the MIDI Channel then play the keyboard.
(in this example change from 1 to 2 and hear the different sample in K4)

Kontakt must be in the for-ground in order for the B3 A-pro to effect any Kontakt Dials

    Hi, Sadicus - It looks like you described Jose's unique method right.  Hope that works well for you, because I know you were having a heck of a time for awhile.

    If you get confused or have trouble editing data in the PRV, just remember there is the alternative where the configuration of tracks to MIDI channels and soft synth audio channels is more simple and straight forward.  I know Jose's method works well, so I'm not criticizing it, I'm just reminding you that the "traditional" way which 90%+ MIDI musicians use is an alternative if you get balled up.
