Sonar MIDI track recording with Battery 3 soft synth

Good morning all,
Have a question that hopefully I can get some help with. I am currently using a DM5 for drum triggers going into Battery 3. I am able to get signal with no issues, and MIDI notes to show up when recording, however..I'm not getting any track separation.  All the MIDI data is going to one track.
 
I have a few MIDI tracks in Sonar, one for Cymbals, one for Snare, and one for Bass drums.
Inside Battery 3, I have the bass drum cells set as MIDI channel 1.  My snare drum is setup as channel 2.  Inside the Sonar track view,  MIDI input is the DM5, channel 1 for bass drums and track 2 is set as input channel 2 for the snare.  Still no separation..
 
On the DM5, you cannot set each trigger device per channel, only globally, which is currently set to omni.
 
My question is, why is everything recording to 1 track if I have it separated by channel? I don't know where the settings need to be modified.. Sonar, or Battery 3?  What am I doing wrong?

    There is no need to set different MIDI channels, but you do need to set different output channels in Battery (at the bottom-right corner of the GUI).

    Thanks for the reply Kev. I know how to route the channels to audio tracks but I was mainly looking for how to split the MIDI data from each individual cell into separate tracks so I can nudge and quantize particular drums if needed.  Someone posted on that thread that there was no need and it was a waste of time, but when I want to get granular with the MIDI edits, it would help to have them split.

    I can't get my head around your setup.  Individual drums are normally triggered by different notes rather than by different midi channels.

    If you wish to separate the MIDI to tracks use the CAL "split notes to track" cal.

    This will put the notes of different pitches on their own tracks.
