Sonar Platinum 'Failed to save document' due to memory full?!
Hi. I own Sonar X3 Prod. and decided to install Sonar Platinum Demo. Bounced 19 tracks from a FL Studio proj. to 88Khz, 24 bit audio files, imported all to Sonar and after renaming them i tried to save but an error occurs: 'Failed to save document'. I noticed that after i import the tracks, memory usage goes up to 5Gb and after trying to save it fills the memory completely, all 7.3 GB. So it seems that while saving, Sonar uses all the memory left. Tried in Sonar X3 the same thing happens. Is there a setting to change this? My system: i7 3.2Ghz 8 Gb Ram 256Gb SSD, 155Gb free Win 10

Is it possible to Bounce your 19 tracks to 44.1Khz (or even 48Khz) , 24 bit audio files instead?

zArt imported all to Sonar and after renaming them i tried to save but an error occurs: 'Failed to save document'.
You re-named the files referenced by the clips in the new project...? You shouldn't be doing that. If you need to rename them for some reason, you should do it before importing them. What's the goal? I'm not sure that's causing your error, but seems likely related.

It is also possible that Sonar has locked the file because you renamed it. SONAR often locks files for no apparent reason. Try to save even earlier and look what happens.

Hi. Yes it is but this isn't normal is it? Sonar X3 in Win 7 takes a long time but saves the project and after that releases memory. Tested in FL Studio and it saved the project, even though it occupied 5Gb of Ram. Tested the Mixcraft demo and it loaded the tracks fast and without occupying that much Ram :o
Maybe Win 10 has something to do it.
@brundlefly I renamed the Track names of the project Not the audio tracks themselves.
Another test i made was to import half of the tracks and i was able to save. It has to do with Memory usage.

I've had this problem once and it was a signal / character contained in the name of the file I was using.

Update: I don't know what happened yesterday but today is all working fine. Because it was the first time i run SPlat i thought it was something to do with it, but maybe it was my system at the time, or both.
Thanks for the help.
