Sonar Platinum MIDI Bug?!? [SOLVED]

I have encountered a bug where MIDI notes pasted onto a split VST instrument (audio/midi) MIDI track are not triggering the instrument, yet adjacent recorded notes do trigger it. See this video:

Open the Events list and check the MIDI Channel number of the pasted MIDI clips?  Or change the instruments MIDI channel to OMNI.
