Sonar Platinum and AutoHotKey

I have been learning AutoHotKey.  It is a great program!  It is a simple to use scripting-macro program.  I want to make some Sonar macro scripts.  Has anyone else already done some of these?  Any ideas for sharing of macros would be great!!  Searched and found a couple of post from April 2014, with no follow-up . Also, some current users posted on that thread. Mudgel, Stevec, Jimbo21, and Brundlefly.

I was editing about 75 clips clicking on region-FX melodyne and editing the same parameters over and over! (oh yes and bouncing the clip - at least for now {lol})

If you have never heard of it -  and you are interested -

Thanks,
Max Arwood

I am sure if you enter "site:forum.cakewalk.com scook autohotkey" there are a few entries with some examples. Mostly one liners for stacking simple commands together. AHK can do more than simple macros. All the utilities I wrote on the Sonar Resources and Utilities page are ahk scripts. I use ahk because I do not want to install a full dev environment on my DAW.

Yes, I saw those.  I didn't remember that some were done with AutoHotKey!  Pretty amazing work you did there!  I have been amazed at what can be done with AutoHotKey!  I am wanting to stack several commands to quicken some editing stuff in Sonar.  Not sure just what yet.  I need to study Sonar's key bindings more and combine them!   I'm not having much luck with AutoHotKey mouse stuff.  Screen positions change.  Monitor resolutions change etc. The keyboard stuff and functions work great!! Any general helpful hints you might want to share?

    Thanks!
    Max

I work with the SONAR menus as much as possible instead of shortcuts. It also helps to set  CoordMode, Mouse, Client in your scripts and use the client X, Y info from Windows Spy when working with dialogs. Windows Spy is a handy tool bundled with ahk although, for me, it has been a little flaky recently.

Hummmmmm  I have used Pulover's macro creator, AutoIt V3 and Windowy Spy a little.
Which version of Windows Spy are you using?  There are 2 newer versions at the bottom of this page -

Thanks a bunch - I'll let you know how I come out with the Sonar stuff!

I have ahk running the background. Windows Spy is an option on the ahk context menu in the notification area.

I use the version bundled with the current ahk https://autohotkey.com/download/ v1.1.24.01

Hey Max, I only use the AutoHotKey for autozoom that I copied from a Groove3 tutorial (I think it was Eli K.). I'm not much into even simple programming like this, but I'll be watching to see if you, or anyone else can come up with something cool!

scook already did a few in AutoHotKey.  Some things are very simple like:
::xsp::Sonar Platinum edition made by Cakewalk
2 colons make up some letters, 2 colons for what you want the letters to do . I always put x before shortcuts so I don't accidentally type them in!
::xad::youremail@youdomain.com and your full address city state and zip code
    All for 3 letters
for separate lines add {enter} between them.

This is simple stuff but this is where you start! - Even these can be great help!
It can get complicated!! It's kind of like C# and C++
I had fun the other day - I did xdc - I programmed the Govt do not call list prompts by only typing in a couple of things!
I will start on some sonar stuff soon!!
