Sonar Platinum and Native Instruments [Solved]

FYI,

I had no success trying to use some of Native Instruments VSTis in Sonar Platinum.
After contacting NI support this is their answer:

"There is a BUG with the new Sonar DAW (KT5-2224 - Parse errors when loading
instruments in Sonar) and we are working to try and fix this as soon as possible.
Hopefully we will have a fix in a release very soon. Unfortunately I cannot say
a time-frame. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards
Niall, Native Instruments Support Team
"

Interesting.

I have KOMPLETE 9 working away with platinum no problem ..

I left KOMPLETE installed on my system. Uninistalled X3, cleared remnants of same from registry etc ... Installed Platinum, set the VST folders and it found everything.

I will admit I have not tried everything in Komplete yet BUT in the main using Kontakt and Massive.

OK a caveat - I do notice that any project with Kontakt can take quiet a while to load. Im not sure if thats a "bug"?

Hunh...that's strange. I haven't had any problems and I've been working with K5 and Absynth all weekend. Mind telling which products have been giving you problems so I can tread cautiously?

Likewise, I've been using Kontakt with both Session Horns and Session Strings without a problem.

Apparently it has something to do with non-English language versions. I too have been running Komplete without problems, but there is a bug of some kind.

Seeming I mentioned it above ... Anyone else find projects with Kontakt are loading very slow?

Any tips / tweaks to speed this up?

I just opened a project containing Kontakt Session Horns and it didn't seem to take any longer than usual.

TOP TIP - Thanks for the info at that link my load times have sky rocketed. I dumped 32 bit version of VSTis that also have 64 bit versions, leaving the latter.

Hi,

The problem I encountered occur when loading multi-layered samples (Single samples works just fine) both in Kontakt 5 and Battery 4. With X3 everything is as it should. Trying to load multi-layered samples renders an "ERROR: parse error" and you have to Kill Sonar in order to get things runing again.

I don't know, but NI support rate it as a bug.
