Sonar Platinum performance vs X3e?

This might be a coincidence, but I just tried a USB interface I have with Platinum for the first time.  With X3e it was horrid latency on it's best day.
 
Today it's running great at it's lowest latency setting.  Behringer 1204USB mixer.
 
I guess we'll have to wait for the paper work, but I'm really curious if something significant was done in the ASIO neighborhood.
