Sonar Producer 8 on Windows 7

Does Sonar Producer 8 run well on Windows 7? I would be moving from XP to 7.

All 64-bit versions of Sonar 8 PE (8.0-8.5) have/are working as they should in Win 7 x64 for me. I did have a few"blips" installing some IK plugs in 8.3.1, but bumping up to 8.5.1 fixed my plug issues.

I had a few issues with 8.3.1 on Windows 7, once I updated to 8.5 they went away! I am loving it.

I am using the following:
HP DV7-3085 Laptop (Intel Core i7 720, 6 GB RAM, 1333 MHZ FSB, 500GB 7200 RPM HD, 17" screen)
UX8 with Beta drivers for Windows 7
Sonar 8.5 Producer (64 Bit)
Windows 7 (64 bit)

I can't believe what this setup can do so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So far the biggest file I've loaded was 25 audio tracks, 3 soft synths and 40 pluggins and my processor is running at about 31% according to Sonar and 24% according to Task Manager without any glitches whatsoever, while surfing the net with all hardware enabled.
It seems like the Intel Core i7, Windows 7 and Sonar 8.5 are a match made in Heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for line 6 to formally put out Windows 7 drivers and Sonar releases 8.5.2

8.3.1 64 bits on win 7 is a nightmare for me.  Keeps on freezing, crashes, strange behaviors.  I made an export tonignt, Had all tracks selected, from beginning to end.  The render had a glitch in the wave at 2/3rd of the wave clip, then a flat line til the end of the song...  Never ever happened to me before.

tonight again, The singer is in the booth, I hit record, at the end of the take, the wave moved to the left, 4 bars behind where I hit record, , the first bars are cut, no way to recover them by moving the left side of the clip.  And no I din't slip it with the mouse, I keep the alert window if I move a wave clip accidently.

I am scared to spend an extra 100$ for 8.5.

Lapieuvre,
My Sonar 8.3.1 was a bit funky in Win 7, but 8.5.1 is working really well!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if you've read the threads about what's different between them, but it's quite a jump (in the right direction).  The Vocal and Percussion strips alone are worth the $100.  I would recommend it! I'm very excited about it.  I've never had a setup that worked so well...and the 8.5.2 update is just around the corner.  I am using a Core i7 though, and Sonar 8.5 was optimized for that processor.  Good luck!
