Sonar Producer X2 and QuNeo Controller Pad

Probably something simple but I have no sound from either of my controllers, QuNeo and a small Oxygen 8 keyboard. The small keyboard icon on the task bar (down by the clock) lights up (left light) when I press a key on either but no sound.

Here's what I do (newbie). I insert a soft synth (Session Drummer x 64) on a track, press the controller and no sound. I'm using Windows 8 64 bit and normally use FL Studio (which works fine). Am I missing a setting somewhere (such as in Soft Synth Options)? The Input Echo is on.

Thanks for any help.

Make sure the MIDI controller is defined in sonar (ins and outs). also make sure the soft synth is routed correctly. These are the 2 things you need to look into., as this is where you are routing it worn or do not have it defined in sonar.  Without more info, this is what you need to look into.

I would do the tutorials in sonar that have to do with soft synths, seeing that your new to this.
