Sonar Producer X3 Upgrade Install

I just bought the Sonar X3 Producer Upgrade. What is the best way to install it? Should I remove X2 and do a fresh install, or should I just install it without removing X2?

Thanks in advance

Here is the best answer from a few threads down:

    1. Leave it installed and just install X3 over it.
    2. Update to latest version
    3. Rescan and reset all vsts.

Do NOT uninstall a previous version after installing the new one. There is a caution about this at the beginning of every SONAR install. If you want to remove an older version do it BEFORE installing the new one. While SONAR does not install over the previous version (each version of SONAR installs in a separate directory), there are shared utilities and plug-ins used by all versions. Removing a previous version after installing a new version can result in loss of shared objects. While not fatal (they can be reinstalled) it can be a pain. Each version of SONAR Producer takes less than 200MB. The rest of the disk space used by a Producer install are shared utilities, plug-ins, loops, one shots and sample libraries.
