Sonar Re-install

Hey, just did a clean install of Win 7 on an SSD - I'm wondering what parts of Sonar need to be downloaded/installed and in what order.

You must be using a cracked version to ask that question, you cannot legally download Sonar 8.5 anymore.
If it's X1 your talking about your in the wrong forum.

...and to use the downloadable version of 8.5 you needed to have  8.00 installed, IIRC (???).

That's actually interesting. If you bought the DVD-8, and then the DL version of 8.5, how can you do a re-install if you can't DL 8.5 again and haven't made a hard copy  of it yourself??

You should be able to download 8.5 as it's in your account including the download link. Even if it doesn't work they should be able to send you a link. Yeah, you do need 8.0 installed if you are going to use the download 8.5 but 8.5 also came complete on a disc set so it depends what you bought. You then need to download 8.5.2 update (includes 8.5.1 update) and then 8.5.3 update to finish it off. http://www.cakewalk.com/S...product.aspx/SONAR-8.5

Sorry, should have explained further. I'm using X1 Expaned and I just went to my account and downloaded the whole lot starting with X1 Producer. This was probably the long way but Sonar is zipping along just great now.

    Thanks, John

k, yeah, my bad. No wonder I couldn't find the thread on my lap top. Didn't realize there was a separate forum for X1.
