Sonar Templates from REAC configuration...

Good evening all,
   I'm using Sonar 8.3.1 with the updated REAC drivers (pre-8.5) in conjunction with a Roland M-400 and two stage boxes (3208 and 1608). I just brought up the REAC Recording System on a PC Audio Labs RokBox 2 and am receiving input from the system. I was wondering, however, it one could receive track information (channel names, etc.) from the M-400 to populate the track names of Sonar after opening a new project. I am guessing that you can't because the 40 channels of output are being mapped from the low-level patchbay settings of the M-400 and not from a User layer where channel names,etc. are supplied. On occasion we may be making changes on the M-400 and if a template were set up on the Sonar side, it might slightly invalidate the track names after the change and the person working the Sonar box wouldn't know it. It's remotely located. I thought I would ask before I dismissed it as a not being an available feature.
