Sonar University Is Great!
I really like the Sonar University Videos. I am on a quest to master as much of Sonar as I possibly can. There are sooooooo many features to this great program that I have not taken advantage of after all of these years. Curiously, when I was watching the step sequencer video, it mentioned that on every VST there should be a step sequencer Icon that can be selected that will automatically pull up a step sequencer instance. I tried without success to find this icon when I loaded DR008 and session drummer 3. I am using Sonar 8.5.3 so I should have the latest and greatest version of Sonar. Am I missing something? Hmmmmmm? Open Session Drummer 3 again and click the icon right next to the ACT button (it looks like a calculator with a bunch of buttons :-P). That's the Step Sequencer button you're looking for. HTH

Jose7822, Thanks for the reply. On my computer there is no Step Sequencer Icon next to the ACT Icon. The solo button is immediately to the right of the ACT ICON. Perhaps maybe there is a bug in my version of the program but I am certain that there is no Step Sequencer Icon available. I have looked at the video over and over again but the Icon for the step sequencer is not there. I know exactly where it should be. This is frustrating. :-(

I don't see why it would show up for you. This is strange indeed. Sorry!

You tried right-clicking in that area, resizing and all those things you shouldn't have to do but which sometime just work who knows why? One more shot in the dark - you can open the step sequencer view using the menu, right? It's just not available on that plug-in?

Are you using the 64-bit version of SONAR? If so, are you using the 32-bit versions of the plugins? If so the buttons for Solo, Mute, StepSequencer, etc. are in a seperate window because of BitBridge. To access that window hold SHIFT when opening the GUI of the plugin. However, I would reccomend using the 64-bit versions of SD3, etc.

Not using 64 bit version. I am using the 32 bit version with windows xp system pack 2. Have not tried resizing. Hmmmm? Step sequencer icon is not visible on any VST I have tried. I will keep pluggging at it. Thanks for all your replies. Nazaru
