Sonar Vs Protools which is more pro? Neither.... It's not the software which is pro or not. It's the human being operating the software. So ask yourself this question...... Are you pro? Or not?

Well Pro Tools must be more Pro because its got Pro in its name. But that also means of course you'd have to be a complete Tool if you choose to use it.... That was a joke by the way, before I get accused of being closed-minded again.

ORIGINAL: losguy OK, since nobody else said it, here it is: SONAR is 20-40% more pro than Protools. I mean, GOSH. I ran tests for 3 days and found that Sonars audio engine sounds 16.8% better than pro-tools--of course using the same hi quality 96bit mp3 through behringer monitors and putting up exactly 12 more egg cartons in each corner of the room.

I tried out PT M-Powered with my Delta 1010 and I was totally unimpressed. I found it to be a Mac application ported over to Windows and a very poor hack at that. One of the first things I tried was a right mouse button, WTF? My mouse isn't working I thought. If you are going to use PT I would not consider it using Windows, it's a Mac app through and through. I guess one could argue that they want to keep it common between platforms.

"poor hack" is a little cruel i think. jeff ps: what the heck? .. i commented in this thread... shame on me.

Susan ... I'd just put it down to "Eccentric Genius" Geoff Good one Geoff, you got that based covered now, where you have a side inside discussion about me with someone else, and act like you're not directly talking to me as if I wasn't going to read it and be insulted. Now, can you progress it along a little faster where you get to the personal one on one attacks, or do I need to throw the first stone for you? Just let me know, I'm here for ya buddy.
