Sonar Went Into Demo Mode - Am I Screwed?

Ive been trying for a week to change my credit card info with Cleverbridge and was unable to.  Customer support NEVER answered me back from Cakewalk or Cleverbridge.

I want to know now if my product went into Demo mode...  will I still "OWN" my product after 7 more months (I've paid 5 months so far), or does this somehow reset everything?

I STILL dont know how to get my CC info changed and now I can't work on music.

This is beyond frustrating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thank You,
Adam

I just tried to get a pmt date changed, and the solution from CW was to cancel and re-up. It seems these accounts are locked in stone, and must be crushed and re-formed.

To 'own' the product, you have to either pay the one time fee, or complete a full 12 months payment cycle, I believe if you are on the 12 monthly payments, and for whatever reason you stop paying, you own diddly squat, unless of course Cakewalk give you a get out of jail free card for certain circumstances

Right, but do I need to make another 12 payments to own the product now, or do the 5 I already made count?  That is my main concern.

Honestly, I am very frustrated right now.

If you do it quick enough it should remember what you already did. It is tied to your account/SN, and that history doesn't go away.

You'll have to see Cakewalk about that, I think there is some 'grace period' but if you have gone into demo mode because of payment failure, I guess your grace period has expired.

Best to contact support and see what gives.

If you can, call Cakewalk Customer Service on Monday. In my experience Cakewalk is a pretty fair company. If you cannot phone them, send another email or PM one of the staffers here. There is no point is posting in multiple threads about this issue.

    Good luck.

Try PM'ing some of the Cake staff like scook said, but remember it is the weekend (well it is here) I'm sure they will sort it out eventually. I remember I started with the monthly, but then changed to the one time payment immediately, I remained in demo mode for over a week, even though my monthly was still in operation, as well as having paid the full membership price, but they sorted it out ;)

    but . . .

if it is that time, might I suggest REAPER, very powerful, very customizable, very reasonable price, regular updates, and your license entitles you to 2 full version numbers, which equates to a couple of years. It doesn't look as nice as sonar, but there are many custom themes available which arguably look better. The thing which gets a lot of folk is the user interface, so if it doesn't bother you, or you get used to it, you're on a winner. It never bothered me, I am quite comfortable with it. I have owned Cakewalk products since Pro Audio 8/9, always done the upgrade, but never really used it until X3, and now Platinum, switched around to Pro Tools and a few others briefly, but settled on REAPER, which I have now pretty well gone back to again, I just find it better overall.

Find the email from CW about your June Payment. They sent you one. I have mine.

Sorry for any headaches/confusion. It looks like Mike didn't have a chance yet to reply to your follow-up questions.

An email was sent to you on 6/12 when the payment failed. That email has a link in it that you can click to update your payment information. I also just manually re-sent it now as well in case it was swallowed by a junk/spam folder. This is also the same thing Mike said in his initial reply.

No it will not reset your payment counter. Once you correct the payment issue and continue the next 7 payments it will be yours forever.

    Apologies again for any headaches.
