Sonar X1 - ARX and other plug in errors

Hi,
 
I am was running the ARX 01 card on Sonar 8.5 with the V700 on version 1.1. It functioned most of the time, but froze once in a while which was easy to fix, I just turned the V700R off and on again.
 
I went through the X1 upgrade and now I get 2 errors, the VST plugin error (failed to load) and the X1 error (failed to insert softsynth, may not be properly installed. This also happened with a plug-in from Audio Recon - VST/AU MKS-80 Editor and the Rapture 64LE.
 
I went through the firmware upgrade figuring this was the problem, but all firmware is up to v1.3x and the V700 drivers are on v2.0 including the V700C stand alone. Everything seems to work except these plug-ins, the ARX card error being a big deal for me. I've looked at the forums and support docs, but no solution has helped me out of the situation.
 
I'm using the V700R/C on the 64bit Windows 7 platform, i7 920 with 6 G Ram. Has anyone experienced a similar problem with Roland ARX cards after upgrading from Sonar 8.5?

    Not that you've already done this.
    Just some thoughts here.

    Just a check list: 1. Make sure you put the pins back after firmware update.
    2. If you're getting errors on the ARX card, Try reseating the card. Sometimes the contacts can get oxidized.
    3. Make sure you've selected the midi device in midi options.
    4. When turning off the 700Rack also turn off the 700 console. Turn the console on first.

    I was thinking of getting the ARX horns, so I'm interested how this works for ya.
