Sonar X1 Console View .... how do I make the FX Bin bigger ?

Hi all

Probably a dumbo questions but:-

=> in Console View, how do I make the FX Bin bigger / higher  ?  -  so if I have 8 or 9 EFX on a track [ as an example] I can see all of them in the Console View

As an example, in PT9, from memory, there are 10 visible "slots" for EFX in each Console Vertical Track.

Thanks,
Tom

I don't think you can make it bigger, but perhaps you could use FX chains to see all your slots at once

Yes it's been one of SONAR's failings that the FX bin is not expandable. You can see 3 plugins and have to scroll to see the others.

But as Bigdog says, FX chains will allow a drop down menu of all effects in the chain and then you can pick the one you want to edit... not elegant but better than clicking the up and down arrows looking for the ONE.

Similarly, when the Inspector is on Clip or Track, it looks like the top part of the FX Bin is covered up.  How does one hide the Properties area that is covering it up?

For this reason I almost want a "reverse" Track Inspector on the mix console view. The idea being that the track selected would show the settings that are visible in the Edit view, including an FX bin that runs the full length of the screen. Otherwise with large mixes one has to toggle between the views to make it useful.

When you click on 'Track' to show the track in the inspector, click 'Track' a second time to close the drop down menu. I wish it defaulted to 'hidden'. Since this is an entirely new function in X1 I would consider this to be a feature request.

The FX Bin used to auto-size itself to all available space in all previous versions of Sonar. I consider this a bug, not a feature request so I hope they fix it before they ditch X1 and move on to X2.

I have no plans of upgrading to X2 so I hope the software I bought in December 2010 get's fixed before it's scrapped. They're 95% of the way there ...

Bub, Thanks!  That is ridiculously easy but I had overlooked it.  I agree that I would rather pull down the properties as needed rather than the other way around, but this is pretty painless.  Thank you.
