Sonar X1 & EZDrummer/Superior Drummer 2.0

Greetings,

Just installed Sonar X1 and upgraded from EZ Drummer to Superior Drummer 2.0.

Sonar seems to recognize both programs as VST Instruments but when I insert the instrument it's not loading the samples...no sound, etc.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

I had the same problem with superior, I am using x64 windos 7 and my version of superior is a 32bit version so I used jbridge to load superior and it works perfectly now. Bit bridge didn't like it for some reason. HTH

Toontrack does not support bridging utilities.  They have 64 versions of all their samplers available for download from your user download page.

You're going to love Superior Drummer 2.0.  It is a very robust piece of software and it will take time to learn all it's features.  The free Groove3 video on SD2 was very helpful to me.

I assume you are using something other then X1 essential? I was under the impression that Essential was 32 bit only and I would have to use 32bit plugins

I was having similar problems with EZDrummer and Sonar X1 Producer.  I was able to insert it as a soft synth, but it would not play any sounds.  I downloaded the 64 bit upgrade, and now it will play, but the drag and drop midi function does not work.  Any suggestions?

try opening the midi patterns in the browser and drag them from there instead

@ Ark47 you need to run X1 as administrator...

Sorry, sort of a newbee - Can you be more specific?  I assume you mean the Sonar browser under Media tab?  All I see is Loops and One Shots.  EZ drummer not under any of these.

oggie, Thanks! that worked, but it only plays one measue.  When I drag the clip out to make it longer, the expanded part is blank.
