Sonar X1 Exp .exe hang / Microsoft updates?

Several months ago, I rebuilt my computer and updated to X1 Expanded Producer. Things were fine, but I think I ran a Microsoft Update. Then I started having the application hang, and the only thing I could do was to kill Sonar, and restart my computer. Otherwise, the audio settings of my Echo Layla 3G were deleted. I changed my operating system hard drive to an SSD, and had things working fine until sometime in Decemebr I ran an update. I am not sure if it had the same problem because I didn't get much time on the DAW. Last week, I ran another update, and Sonar starting hanging again. Same exact problem. One - by-one I started to uninstall the updates to try to find if this is the problem.
 
Just wondering if anyone else gets similar software hanging (just freezes, although audio still plays until the end of the song), or has had a problem with Microsoft updates.
 
I am at work now, and I REALLY NEED to include my specs in my signature. I will do that toninght.
But it isn I-5, with 3.1 MHz processors, 16GB of RAM, so it isn't processing power.
