Sonar X1 Expanded - Problem with MusicXML Export and MuseScore

If like me, you would like some DECENT notation capability within Sonar, and in desperation you just shelled out for the Sonar X1 Expanded upgrade - to get the MusicXML export option; BEWARE... I am using the freeware notation program MuseScore, which I find adequate for my purposes (just imagine if we could have something as good within Sonar!!). I exported a project from X1 Expanded only to find that it's not imported properly in MuseScore (the left and right hand parts from 2 sonar piano tracks are not lined up) - I was VERY disappointed. Importing into Finale Notepad seems to work more-or-less but with many error messages. Cakewalk support tell me "they hope to address the issue in a future release"!! This is pretty poor I think. Hi James,

I'm not sure this is a SONAR issue. I personally processed your report. I'm not sure if you missed our response, but it was as follows:
    Thank you for your report.

On the surface, this appears to be an issue with MuseScore and not with SONAR. This same .xml file is importing correctly into other applications (such as Finale 2011). We can however replicate the same behavior with MuseScore 1.1.

Nevertheless, we are sending this report over to our testers for further review though it appears SONAR is exporting the file correctly.

I processed an official report for what on the surface appears to be an issue with MuseScore. I don't personally have the expertise on the inner-workings of this particular feature however, so I can't determine which app is at fault or provide more information until I get more feedback internally.

I just want to assure you that your problem report wasn't simply thrown into a pile with the notes "we hope to fix this in the future". In fact, the reality is quite the contrary.

Hi Ryan, Thanks for your answer. When you get a diagnosis, maybe you can post here. It's hard to imagine there isn't a Sonar issue because when I import the exact same Sonar MusicXml file into finale Notepad, I get error messages (from Finale Notepad) complaining that there are errors in the xml. I wasn't getting at you with my comments (I'm very happy with your speed of response) I'm getting at Cakewalk who release this very small piece of functionality (the only one I and probably many other users care about in "Expanded") in a payable upgrade and it looks to me, for the moment anyway, like it doesn't work properly!
