Sonar X1 Explained

Hi
I Just got the video for Sonar X1 explained and boy do I need it.. It starts of with basic stuff which is good for me and then goes onto creating a new project.  The guy on the video loads a (Blank (no tracks or buses) template from quick start.  I dont seem to have this which makes life difficult in following the instructional vid.  Anyone know how I can get a blank template.

Thanks
Jore

Open a new project, delete all of the tracka and busses, and save that as your default "normal" template. Alternatively, name it Blank Template and save it as a template.

First let me tell you, that video is EXCELLENT!  The narrator moves a little too fast sometimes, but, that's what pause and rewind are for.  It also helps if you have a two monitor setup.  One for the video and the other with X1 up and running so that you can follow along.

As for not having a blank statup project template, yeah, I ran into the same thing.  The answer was pretty simple, although, I can't remember all of the exact steps.  But basically, you need to open one of the simpler project templates...one without MIDI stuff.  Then delete all of the tracks and anything else that doesn't look like the Blank template in the video.  Then you can save that project as a TEMPLATE.  The next time you start X1 you'll see the Blank template that you created and saved.

Load the Normal template. Delete the tracks and then save it as your own blank template. You can create any kind of project template that you'd like. In the File > Save As dialog box, you can choose to save a project as a template.

They ought to have a blank template available in a fix or a future installment of Sonar since X1 suppose to be about easing the work flow.  Perhaps this can be worked into benstat's Sonar Plus if possible.
