Sonar X1 + Kontakt: Audio recorded on 1 track is heard on others?

For example Record Track 1 Kontakt Violin Sonar only has audio in track 1 Record a few other tracks. Try to mix in Sonar and bringing down track 2 will lower volume of instrument on Track 1? Actually the instrument shows up on all Sonar tracks. Likely an easy solution, but I've been struggling with this all day trying to learn Sonar and Kontakt. Thanks!

You need to select multiple outs in kontakt and make sure each output in contact is outputted to a different audio track.
Or if you dont want ot do that, then youll need to insert another instance of kontact. The first one is the best solution.

Still having some issues, to better illustrate here's some pictures of the specifics: Kontakt set to different outputs per track, but play track 1 in Sonar and it shows up on all tracks (note all meters showing). To make audio Go away I bring down either: Just Midi for that track (Sonar track 2) or Audio for ALL tracks: (Sonar tracks 1, 3, 5) http://2300.zenfolio.com/img/s3/v45/p123470486.jpg Other issue: I can't get audio from Track 2 (or any track higher than 1) to be heard even if I select send to master. Only way I get it to work is to send all outputs from Kontakt to 1/2 like the 1st one (but of course then they are no longer separate): http://2300.zenfolio.com/img/s3/v39/p291575878.jpg Couldn't get pics to show in forum but links will work if copy/paste. Any thoughts/help is greatly appreciated!!!

Got it to work with separate instances in Kontakt for every track which gets me by...but is a lot more cluttered than if could have multiple outs from each instance of Kontakt... Any other ideas to get that working are appreciated. Otherwise I'll stick with a separate instance for every track and deal with the klutter.

When you have an hour or 2 to spare - get out the Kontakt manual and learn how to set up multiple outputs. It's not exactly intuitive - but once you work it out, it's not bad. Be aware that there are different versions of the Kontakt dll - the full one has 64 outs (I think - or maybe 32), then one has 8 outs and the other has 16 outs.

Using seperate instances will kill your computer pretty quick - it's definitely worth learning how to set up th eoutputs.

There are plenty of threads here to - just do some searches.

Good luck - and report back when you're a "Kontakt multi out expert" ;-)
