Sonar X1 Mystery or Misery ???

Ah... The $4000.00 dollar elephant in the room. I have seen a quite few unanswered questions about Sonar  X1 integration with the VS-700 system. Can someone please put us out of our misery?
I would love to hear about some exciting pros but any cons will at least make it known we will live in a 8.5.3 world. Come on folks please throw us a bone.
